The international law firm bpv BRAUN PARTNERS advised Maestrani Schweizer Schokoladen AG on the Czech law aspects, including legal due diligence, in connection with the acquisition of the Belgian praline manufacturer Delafaille including the Czech subsidiary Ostrapack s.r.o., based in Ostrava – an important packaging center specializing in chocolate co-packing services.
Maestrani Schweizer Schokoladen AG, is one of Switzerland’s oldest chocolate manufacturers. Delafaille´s Czech subsidiary Ostrapack specializes in chocolate products and has been a trusted expert in chocolate packaging since 2001. Its professionally trained team can expand to up to 300 workers during peak season. The company operates a high-level IFS Food-certified facility. The production site spans 12,000 square meters, including 5,000 square meters with controlled temperature conditions.
