The Clean Industrial Deal State Aid Framework (“CISAF“) was adopted by the European Commission on 25 June 2025 to offer the Member States of the European Union the possibility of setting up aid schemes to implement the objectives of the Clean Industrial Deal.
However, it should be noted at the outset that CISAF is not an aid programme through which subsidies can be received. It is merely offers guidance that the European Commission presents to the Member States of the European Union, on the basis of which Member States can decide to implement specific support programmes. If these specific support programmes fulfil the criteria set out in CISAF, the European Commission considers that they can be considered compatible with the internal market and implemented. It is therefore up to the Czech Republic to make use of this possibility and establish the relevant support programmes.
The objectives of the Clean Industrial Deal include in particular the further introduction of renewable energy, ensuring the decarbonisation of industry and production capacity for so-called “clean technologies”. For this reason, CISAF identifies different categories of support, which can be summarized as follows:
Should the Czech republic decide to implement any support programmes derived from CISAF, we shall inform you without delay.

Martin Provazník takes a closer look at a rather curious court case that recently ran through the media and should leave no one cold, especially those who like to respond with emoticons 👍 What was it all about?
Congrats to our Prague team, Arthur Braun, Pavel Březina and Klára Procházková, who have assisted in a multijurisdictional transaction (legal lead: Jones Day Frankfurt) with the Czech legal aspects of automotive supplier MAHLE selling its thermostat business division to ADMETOS.
