bpv BRAUN PARTNERS

Last week, the law firm bpv BRAUN PARTNERS officially opened a new office in Liberec. It is located in the known MILLENIUM building at Rumunská.

The opening of the Liberec office is the result of a strategic decision to expand bpv’s day-to-day operations beyond Prague and Bratislava into a region that offers exceptional prospects. The Liberec Region is characterised by a strong industrial tradition, the Technical University and its spin-offs, a welldeveloped business environment and, thanks to its location on the border between the Czech Republic, Germany and Poland, also by intensive cross-border cooperation. It is precisely in the area of CzechGerman business relations and advising Czech clients in their business plans in Germany where bpv have many years’ experience, that is now offered to existing and new clients directly in the region. Liberec is also of interest to bpv BRAUN PARTNERS from a people perspective. Given the large number of qualified lawyers who prefer to practise outside Prague, as well as a strong regional professional community, we see considerable potential for the firm’s further development.

Managing Partner Arthur Braun commented on the opening of the branch: “We carefully considered the decision to open an office in Liberec. The region has a strong economic base, close ties to Germany and talented people. We want to be closer to clients in the Liberec Region and the border area and offer them comprehensive legal advice of an international standard right here on the ground. I am delighted that our Liberec office will be led by our long-standing partner Pavel Vintr, who knows the region well and has close ties to it.”

Pavel Vintr, a native of Liberec, said: “Liberec is close to my heart and I am delighted to be able to offer clients here the services of an international law firm. Local firms and entrepreneurs will find in us a partner who understands the regional environment and who can also reliably guide them through crossborder transactions and cooperation with foreign partners.”
