bpv LEGAL was founded in June 2006 as an alliance of four law firms who have worked together for many years in five different locations focusing on Central and Eastern Europe, the name deriving from the cities of origin. The alliance enables bpv Braun Partners to call on experts from other jurisdictions whenever there is a need, but at the same time allows it to keep the independence that is so attractive to clients; and which allows the firm to advise when other firms are conflicted. For the Czech Republic, the close ties to Austrian and European law are a major competitive advantage.

The combined strength of the alliance is some 110 lawyers practicing in many diverse fields. In addition, bpv can draw on the close relationships that its partners have built up through many years of operating in the region. Basically, the entire CEE region can be covered for multi-jurisdictional transactions.

bpv Braun Partners has alliance offices in Vienna, Bucharest, Budapest, Bratislava and also operates an office in Brussels serving as an increasingly important competence center for European law.
